E turned 10 this year!
(p.s. Yes, no need to point out how late this is.  This is my scrapbook...and honestly, there just hasn't been much time to scrapbook these past few months :)
Yes, 10!  We are officially parents to a 10 year old.
It is nearly impossible to believe how quickly these 10 years have gone.
I'm a sap...and realizations like this really hurt my heart.
While my dreams and hopes for my children are HUGE, and I'm giddy with anticipation about what amazing little people they continue to become...I want them to stay little.
I know
I know
It ain't going to happen.

So sappiness aside
Check out this gorgeous, spunky, confident, intelligent 10 year old.
She is seriously a Godsend to me.  She is the best, most-committed big sister on this planet.  I pretty sure some days G thinks she is his mother.  She's nurturing and caring; hilarious and spirited; She's PERFECT!

Giggles

Nothing is more therapeutic for the soul than baby giggles

God is Good.

In late September, Ed and I had the honor of being able to baptise both EIV and G at a very special church, by a very special priest.
We all were surrounded by family and love.
It was pretty awesome. 
Our boys were ceremoniously welcomed into God's family and both are blessed with loving Godparents.

That day I was especially reminded what wonderful gifts from God that our children are and how blessed we are to have such an amazing family.

So that's what we did.

The first day of school was August 11th.

It's actually unbelievable that we have a 3rd and 4th grader already. (AND that it has taken me a month to get this posted)

In 2 years, E will be in middle school.  Breathe. Breathe.  Oh Lord, help me.

 

 

The first day of school also fell on the same day as H's birthday.  Bummer, right? 

But thanks to that we had quite the party.  It actually started on Sunday with a special lunch sushi date with our FAVE nanny.  And then Cinnamon rolls for breakfast and Oreo cake for dessert on her special day.

The ice bucket challenge phenomenon has trickled it's way to the elementary schools across the country.  So after agreeing to hit up their piggy banks to make a donation to ALS, we commenced the challenge.

8 and Fabulous!

Our beauty H, turns 8 today.
Isn't she stunning!

 

She's the sweetest girl with such a calm temperament and warm soul. 

You could feel that from day one with her.

 

 

 

 

 

Today we celebrate her!

Her love of animals, clothes and her little brothers. (and occasionally her big sister too!)

She is so amazing and precious and growing up too fast for me.

I'm actually sitting here crying as I write this.  She was my baby for many years.  My heart doesn't want her to grow up.  I always and forever want her voice to stay the EXACT way it is.  And for her to never pronounce her R's the right way.

 

We are so grateful that God gave her to us.
