A Whimsical Ride

If you have never been to Omaha's Old Market (downtown dining, shopping, entertainment district), I highly recommend it next time you're here :)

Many eclectic restaurants and unique boutiques line the cobbled streets.  It's quaint and hip and fun.
I really like going there.  Ed, not so much....it's just too bustling with people and far from our house (what??? 192nd street to 10th street's not THAT far, right!??!?!).

We were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding reception there last weekend and the girls and I took full advantage.  After leaving the party, we first headed to the slides:

And then our girls accomplished something that I considered would take an act of Congress to make happen.  They convinced their daddy that we all needed a carriage ride.  It was fun and the kids LOVED it.  Our driver's name was Patrick and our horse was Elvis.  It was perfect.

.

Then we ended the night at the ginormous candy store.
The kids were all sugared up and the Gods paid Ed back for the carriage ride with 2 enormous Bit O Honey bars.
